Classifieds


1. How to post a classified?

Click on the Post Ad tab on the Webdunia Classifieds Homepage, Select a country, state, city, category and subcategory in which you want to post your classified, enter your Ad Title and Description (fields with red star symbol are compulsory). You can provide further detail according to your category, and click on "Post Ad" at the bottom of the window. To view your ad, click on "Ad Preview".

Before you Post your ad, you need to have a Webdunia Classified login ID.

On posting the ad, you get a confirmation email to the mail account, which you have provided at the time of registration.

That's it. Your classified will appear within few minutes on the Webdunia Classified Portal and remain there for 30 days.

2. Where do I post my classified?

An ad has to be posted with an appropriate Category. Select appropriate category to post your classified or your ad will/may be marked as "Miscategorized" by the community.

3. How to edit or delete my classified?

To edit / delete your classified follow these steps:

Step1: Login to Webdunia classified using your Login ID and password.

Step2: Click on Manage Ads.

Step3: Select the Ad you want to view/Edit/Delete and choose the Action from the Action column.

Step4: Click on the links there, you are able to view, edit or delete your classifieds

4. How long my classified will be active?

Your classified will be active for 30 days from the date of confirmation. After 30 days, you will receive an email on your registered ID, to renew your classified. You have to click on the link in the mail, if you want to renew your classified, otherwise ignore the mail.

5. What if I don't receive confirmation email to publish my classified?

If you don’t receive the confirmation mail, please ensure that you have login with the same email ID which you have provided at the time of registration, same where you received confirmation email for making your classified active.

6. How to save an interesting classified?

Store an interesting classified ad by clicking the "Save to Favorites" link, which you find at the top of each classified.

You can store any number of Ads in your Favorites list.

7. How can I view my classified ad?

There are two ways to view your classifieds:

Click again the email, which we sent you to confirm the posting of your classified.

Click the link "My Ads > Manage Ads" in the left bar of your Dash board of Webdunia Classified portal.

Here you can View/Edit/delete your Ads.

8. Why my classified ad has been deleted?

The classified/s might get deleted for one of the following reasons:

    • The publishing period of 30 days are over.
    • The community has removed the classified by marking it as abuse.

9. How do I reply to a classified ad?

At right side of each classified ad is a Contact Advertiser field. You can enter your name, email id, contact number and message and send it to the Ad owner. The person you are writing to can see the details provided by you.

10. How do I search classifieds on Webdunia Classified?

You have to search classifieds in the selected category by selecting the fields of your choice. Search fields differ from category to category. You can search ads before and after registering your ID on Webdunia Classified portal. Filter your search to your requirement by selecting the options in various fields and click search.

11. How can I receive an email alert when a new posting is done?

Once you are registered with Webdunia Classified you can set alerts from “My Alerts” > “Set New Alert” on the left pane of the Dashboard. This searches classifieds with selected/opted fields and save this search criteria in “Manage Alert” option (available just below the “Set New Alert field), here you can Edit / delete an alert. You will receive an email notification every time a new matching classified is posted.

12. How do I post/update/add a photo with my classified ad?

• Login on the Webdunia Classified portal with your "email id" and "password".
• Click on "My Ads" > “Manage Ads”.
• Click on "Edit" link and Upload the image using "Upload Image" option.

The image uploaded by you will be verified by the Webdunia Classified administrators before it is displayed on the portal.

13. Will my ad be posted at once?

Yes, every ad that is posted/ created on the portal is viewed on the Portal instantly. But the image (if any) along with the Ad needs to be validated/ verified by the Webdunia Classified administrator.

14. Can I be notified of ads that match my search criteria?

Yes. If an alert is set, a list of ads that match your search category will appear on the screen.

15. I forgot my password. What should I do?

• Visit Webdunia Classifieds
• Click on Login link.
• Click on the "Forgot Password?" link.
• Enter your email ID and verification code.

A mail will be sent to your email ID as confirmation for changing the password. Login to your mail ID and send a conformation status from your account to retrieve/reset your password. Your password will be mailed to you on your mail ID.

16. Why am I not getting any response to my ad?

The most common reason for an Ad not getting any response is incorrect contact details / information provided. We suggest you check your contact details on the My Profile section especially the email address/mobile number that you have provided. Also make sure that you have posted the ad in correct category.

17. What if my city name does not appear on Webdunia Classified?

Please suggest new cities or new locality here classifieds@webdunia.net. If you are suggesting a locality please mention the landmark, so that we can include the locality as early as possible.

1. Where do I register on Webdunia Classified?

To register on Webdunia Classified you must have an email ID. (The location at the portal has to be specified).

Although, you can search your or other’s classifieds without registration, but you need to register to post your Ad. Click on the “Sign In” link and follow the instruction there.

In case you don’t have an Email ID you can create one using ‘Sign Up’ link at the top of Webdunia Classified page and click on ‘Sign Up for Webdunia Mail’.

2. How do I change my interface language?

To change the interface language of your page, click on the desired language tabs present on the top right corner of the Webdunia classified homepage.

3. What are the Terms and Conditions of Webdunia Classified?

4. How to report abuse, Spam, or sexual content?

To report abuse, Spam and sexual content send a mail with the ad and explaining the content which seemed unacceptable to you at our official mail ID classifieds@webdunia.net.

While viewing the advertisement, you can report for any unwanted data in the ad by clicking on the Report Abuse tab just above the ad areas. For reporting abuse you need to have your login ID with us. Select the reason for reporting the advertisement as unwanted, type your Verification Code and submit your request. Your request will be sent to the administrator, who decides whether the request is to be accepted or rejected.

5. What should I do if someone harasses me by posting?

If someone harasses you by posting a classified/comment, contact classifieds@webdunia.net specifying the reason how & why it is harassing you.

Note: Please mention the City, Category and Title of the posting, so that we can pinpoint the ad and contact the person who has posted it.
